PASC UK Signs Memorandum of Understandings with the ASSC and ASAP

PASC UK has signed MoU’s with two tether significant trade bodies. The ASSC (Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers) which represents the self-catering sector in Scotland, and ASAP (Association of Serviced Apartment Providers). Both are leaders in their field and there are many areas in which both challenges and opportunities align. All three organisations have committed to work together, share data, papers and technical, legal and accounting advice. This will bring benefits to all Members as we produce more supporting documents, more joint lobbying whilst at the same time, sharing costs, and offering best value to our Members.

Memorandum of Understandings with the ASSC

We have been working closely with the ASSC Chief Executive since the day that PASC UK was formed in 2017, and this is natural step for both parties, our policies are aligned, and the shared DNA of both supporting the sector and advocating for the sector means that there is much work that we undertake in partnership and much we can share. This may be data and research, or it may be as simple as PASC UK has written a paper on Dangerous Dogs and the ASSC have written a Legionnaires Check paper, and we exchange, this both avoids duplication and increases both associations Member support output.

The partnership extends to joint meetings with Ministers and Officials, with Fiona joining us in London to lobby against the abolition of the FHL Regime and meetings for the PASC UK Team with Scottish labour MPs regarding Tourism Levies. We also invited Fiona to come and speak at our inaugural PASC UK Agency Conference, which is where we made the public announcement, and Fiona was able to share the learnings from what has gone awry in Scotland with our Agency Members and how we can all learn from that. We have regularly shared platforms to represent the sector at multiple sector Conferences across the UK and Europe.

 
Memorandum of Association with ASAP
 
Following on from our announcement of an MoU with the ASSC, Fiona Campbell MBE and CEO of the ASSC and the PASC UK Executive chair approached James Foice, CEO of ASAP. We have both known him for many years, and mutually extending the Mou three ways was an entirely practical and logical step. It works in exactly the same way as the Mou with the ASSC and we know have regular updates about sharing, alignment and joint working.
