PASC UK have produced a series of supplementary papers to support the Guidance issued by the Home Office on all the Fire Guidance. The changes are details below, and below that are a range of papers to help owners understand what is required.T

From 1 October 2023 all owners that let their property, even for a single night, regardless of the platform upon which they advertise, will need to have a full written and recorded Fire Risk Assessment, by law. New Guidance has been published by the Home Office that covers smaller accommodation, (no more than two storey, no more than 4 bedrooms, no more than sleeps 10, and not having an open-plan kitchen).

These will help guide owners of properties that fall outside the Small Paying Guest Guide with mitigation steps that may be required, depending upon the property. The New Sleeping Accommodation Guide has condensed most of the suggested mitigations into a Single Annex A.
